Case study

Parking and access system installed by RAVCOM — Bacău International Airport

Traffic in waves, short and long stays in the same place and zero tolerance for queues at the barrier — an airport needs vehicle access that keeps the flow moving.

The site's context

An airport runs in waves: concentrated arrivals and departures, cars dropping off or picking up passengers within minutes right next to others parked for days. There's no room for blockages at entry or exit — a queue at the barrier quickly spills into the traffic around the terminal.

The system implemented

For this type of site, RAVCOM implemented a barrier-based vehicle access and parking system: automatic barriers on each lane, entry and exit stations and automated payment collection, designed to keep the flow moving without staff on every lane. Every entry and exit is logged, and the operator has a clear record at any moment.

RAVCOM's role

As a Romanian manufacturer and integrator, RAVCOM covers the whole chain — site assessment, equipment, installation, commissioning and local service — so responsibility for the system sits with one party, not split across suppliers.

Can I get a similar solution for my site?
Yes. We start from a site assessment — traffic, user types, objectives — and propose an adapted configuration: barriers, access, ticketing or plate recognition (LPR), as needed.
Can you publish all the project details?
No. The commercial details and exact configuration of every project are confidential. We discuss them case by case, for a similar project.

Running a transport hub with heavy traffic? Ask for a similar configuration.

No standard public pricing. We reply fast, with the next steps.
